Fun, Easy and Sew Cute! :)

Okay, one thing about me is I LOVE art...  I'm addicted to photography and have tons of fun painting and working with scrapbook paper. So I had a problem when there was a bare spot above my bed,  While I was reading an article in a magazine I found this wonderful and adorable idea ... all you need is a few embroidery hoops, cute fabric, scissors and a nail!

This picture was adapted from Martha Stewart Crafts

LOVE these!! They came from lushlee.com

1. Choose desired fabric that will fit the diameter of your embroidery hoop.

2. Separate rings of hoop and place the inner ring under the piece of fabric.

3. Place outside ring over inner ring and tighten screw on hoop to secure fabric in place.

4. Flip hoop and fabric over. Trim fabric with scissors, leaving about 1/2-inch overhang.

5. Cover the inside of the inner ring with double-sided tape and fold excess fabric into hoop to adhere.

6. Hang above bed, couch or anywhere in need of a splash of color!

In my green walled room I have pink, white, black, green pattern and black and white polka dot and I just love them! They are so simple but add detail! :)

Stop. Read. Reread!

Wow! I have not posted in months! So much has happened and life got pretty busy and before I knew it it's April! Well I learned valuable lesson today, I was running around trying to get some pictures taken and edited for a photo contest this week, when I went to install my Photoshop I got for Christmas ( uggh I know! I'm a procrastinator!) I paused for a moment to reread the front of the box really well and saw in big lettering  'For all your VIDEO editing needs'!  Thank goodness I hadn't tried to install it yet and there's a chance it can be returned... 'what lesson is that?' you ask,  The importance of knowing everything about what you are buying, even if the clueless man with the tag 'Hi! I work here, how may I help you?' pinned on his shirt says it's the "Biggest" selling Photoshop on the market!(lol)  anyways I'm going to see how much I can do with Picasa, and be thankful for that!:)
So, I thought I would at least post some pictures and apologize to my blog for neglecting it! :)

If you can't tell because of the vines, this is an old silo castle.
It is truly amazing in the winter when there is no growth!

And here is another shot

Psalms 46:1-3  "God is our refuge and strength,

   an ever-present help in trouble.

Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way

and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging

weekends are for deep nourishing...

I smile. A dog runs ahead. To my left there's the sun, round-orange, bouncing off my cap. And my, right a puddle, not yet seeping to it's underneath, ripples with wind. My path reminds me of my walk with God, sometime smooth and beautiful, and then there's the muddy messy part, and then the rugged part. It's all for a reason... Without the tough bit, growth would never happen. I am going to keep giving God thanks one step at a time. May you have a blessed, prayerful, nourishing weekend!

Behind Bars

"Joseph’s master took him, and put him into the prison, the place where the king’s prisoners were bound, and he was there in custody."   -Genesis 39:20

Jealousy, it's a sticky-uncertain thing... It makes the best of us seem fools, and the worse, well worse. A question wanders it's way through my mind. I think... What would Joseph's relationship with his family be like without it. Jealousy. And then, what would the ending be? There is a reason, I don't write eternity's story... I smile at the thought... what a mess I would be in. Joseph goes from being the most favored being of his family, to being a slave in a foreign land. Egypt. Maybe in his childhood he wondered what Egypt was like... now he was there, but he probably never guessed he would be a slave! Then back to the high point, Potiphar placed Joseph, at the tip top of his household. And then behind bars... literally now. But,
"But Yahweh was with Joseph, and showed kindness to him, and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison."  -Genesis 39:21
Yahweh, is so like breath... you have to breathe it, to speak it. Because Yahweh was with Joseph he was able to take his fluctuating life one breath at a time.
Two dreams happen... They make their dreamers frustrated... they must have been vivid.  "Don't forget me." Joseph pleads... but God had other plans. I know I have bars in my life... They hurt, but I grow. Stronger. If God had not worked through the bars in Josephs life, instilling patience, and showing him to wait for His plans, would Joseph have been half the leader he was? Pharaoh gave Joseph a position almost impossible for a prisoner, like himself. God's plans are for a reason... things Satan means for evil, Yahweh, turns back for the better. I try, now, to be patient. I know it takes time for God's plans to be revealed. Patience and obedience to play their own roles in the becoming of Yahweh's great gift of life.

One Seed, Makes a World of Difference

"The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with my word, I send it out and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to and it will prosper where send it."     Isiah 55:10-11

I sit pondering, (maybe deep thinking is not my thing...) here it goes...

The last few falls of snow are rushing to get their spot. Rain also seems to be doing the same I. I sit listening to the lullaby of drizzling rain... they are readying the earth for the long awaited spring. Every seed yielding flower and fruit will take time and water to bloom and produce. Just like a walk with Jesus... The seeds are planted and nurtured by God, through people we meet every day.
Jehovah, help me to be nurturing christian.
Once seeds are planted they can't help but grow, then we have the choice to beat down what God has made, or listen to the quiet calling, such a gentle whisper.
Lord, praise be to you that I answered your call.
If we choose to let grow what has taken place, by excepting Jesus into our hearts. It will take time; Watering with prayer, feeding with scripture, and aerating soil with deep books.
Omega, help me to dig deeper no to just scratch shallow surfaces.
The fruit we yield will be for all to see.
Jesus Messiah , let my fruit be rich, let it be beautiful for you, that others will want to know you better.
Maybe God intends to uproot me.
Father, Take me somewhere to grow me farther into the person you want me to be, your devoted servant.
Though no plant lasts forever, He has made a place where we will...
Thank you, The Author of Life, whose ink of my story runs in your veins, for everything...
